01 How do I store Arvinda's spice blends?
All Arvinda’s spice blends should be kept inside the bag in the tin. We do not recommend you empty the contents of the bag into the tin, although our tins are food grade quality and FDA approved.
Dry spice blends, such as Arvinda's Chai Masala, Arvinda's Curry Powder and Arvinda's Garam Masala, should be stored in a cool, dark place, free of humidity. Arvinda’s Butter Chicken Masala, Arvinda's Curry Masala, Arvinda's Madras Masala, Arvinda's Tandoori Masala and Arvinda's Tikka Masala can be stored in the refrigerator for optimal freshness.
02 Are the spice blends gluten-free?
All Arvinda’s products are gluten-free. Arvinda's spice blends contain only spices, herbs and sea salt all of which inherently do not contain any gluten. We do not process any gluten products in our facility, however we cannot guarantee that spices used in Arvinda's have not come into contact with wheat during harvesting and packaging.
03 Do Arvinda's spice blends contain turmeric?
We love all spices especially turmeric for their immense health benefits. We blend turmeric into the following spice blends: Arvinda's Butter Chicken Masala, Arvinda's Curry Powder, Arvinda's Curry Masala, Arvinda's Madras Masala, Arvinda's Tandoori Masala and Arvinda's Tikka Masala.

04 What are the ingredients in the spice blends? I’m allergic to some ingredients and spices.
Mustard seeds are an allergen, used in Arvinda's Madras Masala, Arvinda's Vindaloo Masala and Arvinda's Curry Powder. Arvinda’s blends do not contain nuts, sesame seeds, wheat, eggs, soy or dairy products and these items are not processed in our facility. Some people have sensitivities to certain ingredients. 05 What is the shelf life of Arvinda's spice blends?
If Arvinda’s spice blends are stored at optimal condition as specified above, they are good for the length of time (after opening) as follows:
Arvinda's Chai Masala - 12 months; Arvinda's Butter Chicken, Arvinda's Curry Masala, Arvinda's Garam Masala, Arvinda's Madras Masala, Arvinda's Tandoori Masala and Arvinda's Tikka Masala - 15 months; Arvinda's Curry Powder, Arvinda's Curry Leaves, Arvinda's Kafir Lime Leaves and Arvinda's Whole Spices - 18 months.
06 What stores carry Arvinda’s spice blends?
Our website lists some of the fine retailers that carry Arvinda's. If you want to know if a specific product is carried at a particular retailer, it is best to call them directly to ensure it is in stock.
07 Do you process nuts in your facility?
Arvinda’s production facility does not process nuts however we cannot guarantee that spices used in Arvinda's have not come into contact with nuts during harvesting and packaging.
08 Can I buy Arvinda’s spice blends in bulk for my restaurant?
Yes you can! If you are a chef, caterer or food business owner, please inquire about Arvinda’s spice blends sold in bulk quantities for foodservice. Our foodservice orders are made-to-order ensuring you get the freshest Indian spices blends available and can be customised to suit your heat level.
09 Does Arvinda’s line contain any preservatives?
Arvinda’s do not contain any additives, preservatives or oils.
10 I am interested in Arvinda's cookbook, can you please tell me more about it?
Arvinda's Home Indian Cooking cookbook is a collection of over 65 homestyle Indian recipes using Arvinda's spice blends. It makes for a wonderful gift idea paired with a couple of tins of Arvinda's masalas! For wholesale inquiries, please send us an email or buy online.
