Chicken Shawarma with Garlicky Yogurt Mayo Sauce
made with Arvinda's Sizzling Shawarma
Recreate this street food favourite at home! With this cumin scented spice blend, to make seasoned shredded chicken stuffed into warm pitas with fresh toppings like red onions, crispy chopped lettuce, fresh tomato slices, and chopped cucumber for a delicious hand-held sandwich. Serve with the creamy thick Garlicky Yogurt Mayo Sauce.

1 TBSP. | olive oil |
1 LB. | boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut thinly into strips |
2 TBSP. | ARVINDA’S SIZZLING SHAWARMA |
½ TSP. | sea salt, or to taste |
2 | lemon wedges, to garnish |
GARLICKY YOGURT MAYO SAUCE | |
½ CUP | yogurt |
¼ CUP | mayonnaise |
1 TSP. | garlic paste |
¼ TSP. | ARVINDA’S SIZZLING SHAWARMA |
¼ TSP. | sea salt |
In a heavy bottom skillet, heat the oil on medium heat. Add the chicken, ARVINDA’S SIZZLING SHAWARMA and the salt. Mix and cook the chicken for 5 to 7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and has lost its pinkness. Option: Grill on the barbecue.
Serve with warm pitas, lettuce, onions and tomatoes, Garlicky Yogurt Mayo Sauce and garnish with lemon wedges.
