Chipotle Spiced Black Bean Tacos
made with Arvinda's Chipotle Taco
Take your tacos to the next level with the crazy amazing flavour of smoky chipotle. You can choose black turtle beans or black beans for this recipe. Queso fresco is a mild white soft cheese used as a topping on tacos, enchiladas, Mexican soups (see Mexican Fiesta Soup recipe) or on salads.

SEASONED BEANS | |
1 TBSP. | oil |
1 to 2 | garlic cloves, finely minced |
1 | small onion, finely chopped |
2 CUPS | black beans, cooked |
2 TSP. | ARVINDA’S CHIPOTLE TACO |
¼ TSP. | sea salt, or to taste |
4 | flour tortillas |
1 | medium tomato, finely cubed |
2 CUPS | lettuce, finely shredded |
1 CUP | cheddar cheese, shredded |
½ CUP | queso fresco (optional) |
½ CUP | sour cream |
1 | jalapeño pepper, sliced |
1 | avocado, cubed |
¼ CUP | finely chopped fresh cilantro, to garnish |

In a medium pot or non-stick skillet, heat the oil on medium-high. Add the garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant. Add the onion and cook until translucent.
Add the beans and sprinkle in ARVINDA’S CHIPOTLE TACO and sprinkle in the salt to taste. Stir to combine and cook for a few minutes.
Warm the tortillas in a skillet and stuff with the lettuce, seasoned beans, tomato, cheese, queso fresco, sour cream, jalapeños and avocado. Garnish with cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
